Trauma Therapy
Trauma can affect how we feel, think and experience the world long after difficult events have passed. Trauma therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore past experiences, understand their impact and begin the process of healing.
Understanding Trauma
Trauma can take many forms and may arise from experiences that felt overwhelming, frightening or deeply distressing. For some people, trauma may be connected to a specific event, while for others it may relate to experiences that unfolded over time.
Trauma therapy provides a compassionate and trauma-informed space to explore these experiences and begin rebuilding a sense of safety and emotional stability.
Processing trauma is not about forcing difficult memories but gently understanding their impact and building new ways of feeling safe and grounded.
Trauma affects each person differently. Therapy recognises the uniqueness of your experiences and supports you in exploring them at your own pace.
Trauma therapy prioritises emotional safety and trust. Sessions create a calm space where you can talk openly about your experiences without pressure or judgement.
The Foundations of Trauma Therapy
Trauma can affect how we feel, think and experience the world long after difficult events have passed. Dr Eleanor Hart offers compassionate trauma therapy, creating a calm and supportive space where you can explore your experiences safely and begin moving towards healing.
A key foundation of trauma therapy is creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where difficult experiences can be explored with care.
Trauma can affect the mind and body in powerful ways. Therapy helps you understand these responses and develop ways to navigate them.
Over time, trauma therapy supports you in rebuilding emotional balance, resilience and a renewed sense of control.
Healing from trauma is not about erasing the past but finding ways to live with greater understanding, safety and self-compassion.
Through trauma therapy, many people begin to reconnect with themselves, feel less overwhelmed by past experiences and develop healthier ways of navigating emotions and relationships.
Many people begin therapy feeling unsure about where to start. With time, support, understanding and a safe space to talk can make a meaningful difference.

Therapy sessions offer a supportive and confidential space to talk about what you’re experiencing and explore your thoughts and emotions at a pace that feels right for you. Some people begin with a single session, while others find it helpful to commit to a short series of sessions to allow the work to unfold more gradually.
A single therapy session offers a supportive space to talk openly about what you are experiencing and begin exploring how therapy may help.
Some people find it helpful to commit to a short series of sessions so there is time to gently explore their experiences and build continuity in the work together.
(£110 per session)
For those who would like more consistent support, a six-session block provides the opportunity to work together over a longer period, allowing therapy to unfold at a comfortable and steady pace.
(£100 per session)
There is no obligation to commit to a series of sessions. Some people begin with a single session, while others choose a short series so they can explore their grief with ongoing support.
We can talk through what you’re experiencing and explore which option may feel right for you.
