Understanding Grief
Grief affects everyone differently. You may be navigating the loss of someone close, experiencing complicated emotions after bereavement, or struggling to adjust to life after loss.
Grief counselling provides a compassionate and supportive space where you can talk openly about your experience and begin making sense of the emotions that come with loss.
Grief counselling moves at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Over time, therapy can help you process emotions, find meaning and begin rebuilding life after loss.
There is no single way to grieve and no timeline for healing. Counselling recognises the deeply personal nature of loss and supports you in finding your own path forward.
Grief can bring a wide range of emotions, and every response to loss is valid. Therapy offers a safe and compassionate space where you can speak openly about what you are experiencing.
Loss, trauma and life changes can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate
alone. Dr Eleanor Hart offers grief counselling, trauma therapy and supportive
workshops, creating a calm and compassionate space where you can talk
openly and begin finding your way forward.
Therapy provides a calm and supportive environment where you
can explore difficult emotions without pressure or judgement.
Grief counselling can help you better understand the emotional,
psychological and physical experiences that often accompany loss.
While grief never disappears completely, therapy can help you find
ways to carry your loss while continuing to live a meaningful life.
Many people come to therapy feeling uncertain about where to begin. Over time, support, understanding and space to talk can make a meaningful difference.

Grief counselling does not aim to “fix” grief or take away the love and memories connected to the person you have lost.
Instead, therapy offers a space to explore your feelings, understand your experience and begin finding ways to live with loss in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
Over time, many people find that counselling helps them feel less alone in their grief and more able to move forward with support.
Grief counselling sessions offer a safe and compassionate space to talk about your loss and the emotions that come with it. Some people begin with a single session, while others find it helpful to attend a small series of sessions, allowing time to gently explore their grief and begin finding a way forward.
A single grief counselling session offers a safe and compassionate space to talk openly about your loss and the emotions that come with it, and to begin exploring how support may help you navigate your grief.
Some people find it helpful to attend a short series of sessions, allowing time to gently explore their grief and receive consistent support over a period of time.
(£110 per session)
A six-session block offers the opportunity for more consistent support, giving space to gently explore your grief and allowing the work to unfold over time.
(£100 per session)
There is no obligation to commit to a series of sessions. Some people begin with a single session, while others choose a short series so they can explore their grief with ongoing support.
We can talk through what you’re experiencing and explore which option may feel right for you.
